Current production of biofuels heavily depends on food crops such as soybean, canola, sunflower, palm, and others. These crops require substantial amounts of irrigation, fertilizers, and high-quality land, which detracts from their use for growing food or feed commodities on agricultural land.
The Avalon approach to crop selection and cultivation is selecting fast-growing non-edible crops at scale on low-grade arable land. Auris-Avalon has partnered with reputable agricultural and production organizations that will assist throughout production. The facilities created on each project site will create hundreds of new jobs and support the local economy.
Avalon Energy Group has formed strategic alliances and partnerships with some of the leading agriculture and agronomy institutions around the world with access to 85 different genotypes of optimized oil seed crops that enable us to match any soil quality, weather conditions, irrigation systems, and other resource bases with a specific crop type that will grow in that environment.
