The South African Biorefinery facility will produce ~40 million liters of biodiesel and other coproducts and byproducts from palm oil/palm stearin, dedicated energy crops, such as Camelina, Moringa, or other food processing and agricultural waste streams. The South African Biofuels Regulatory Framework serves as the basis for implementing the Biofuels Industrial Strategy of 2007, This project is an initiative aimed at the integration of agriculture, clean energy manufacturing, and economic growth across Swaziland, South Africa, and the rest of the SADC region.
This project is strategically located to utilize available land and collaborate with local farmers and organizations, aiming to create a model for balanced food and energy security while fostering green economic development. Our locations include:

In Tarantaal, Tzaneen, Limpopo, S. Africa:
The Avalon approach for successful cultivation in South Africa revolves around the cultivation of fast-growing oil seed crops on marginal arable land. South Africa's climate is highly suitable for large-scale cultivation and rotation of selected species. This initiative not only aligns with the country's commitment to reducing emissions but also presents valuable opportunities for agricultural employment and diversification of potential export goods.
We are collaborating with local small-scale farmers, including Inca Green, Makunda Capital, Lefakong Farming, and Nyame Adom. These partnerships are aimed at providing these farmers with the tools and resources needed to scale up their operations, promoting economic growth in local communities. Furthermore, the project has garnered support from prominent institutions such as the CSIR South Africa, Hope for Limpopo, University of Limpopo, and the Vhembe District Municipality. These partnerships signify a collective commitment to sustainable development and highlight the project's potential impact.
