The India Biorefinery facility will produce 100,000 KL annually of biodiesel and other coproducts and byproducts from oil, palm oil/palm stearin, dedicated energy crops, such as Camelina, Moringa, or other food processing and agricultural waste streams.

The Indian government's commitment to biofuels as part of a broader commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2070 commitments made at the COP-26 Climate Summit in Glasgow, Scotland, is at the heart of this project development effort. The government's comprehensive approach, combining biofuel subsidies with the commitment to net-zero emissions, demonstrates India's commitment to promoting clean energy projects.

Our first selected Indian biorefinery site is located in Southern India.   

Additional sites for biodiesel manufacturing, agriculture, and agriprocessing are under development.  

Avalon BioEnergy (India) Pvt. Ltd., aims to cultivate oil-rich energy crops and process waste streams from other oil commodities. These crops will be used for biodiesel fuel production, catering to both the domestic Indian and international markets.  The project aligns with the 2018 Biofuels Policy in India, which. mandates a 5% biodiesel usage.  Shifting the production of biodiesel to fast-growing non-food energy crops on marginal lands represents the optimal strategy to establish a fully integrated agriculture and manufacturing platform in India. 

Avalon has partnered with several vendors and customers. EPCs, and other domestic and international entities to create a comprehensive and collaborative team to design, engineer, develop, build, and operate multiple biorefineries and agriculture/agprocessing plants across India.
