Project Background

Auris BioEnergy has chosen Illinois as its primary showcase for demonstrating a fully integrated manufacturing platform dedicated to producing high-quality biodiesel, sustainable aviation fuel, glycerin, Refined triglyceride oils, and other co-products.

With the Illinois site being shovel-ready for the project, and equipped with all necessary operating permits and licenses, the proposed project not only ensures immediate revenues based on currently available raw materials but also opens doors for expansion into a more profitable model.

The combination of biofuel subsidies, access to the major customer base, and a well-prepared site in Illinois create a favorable environment for the success of the project.

This site is 60 miles West of Chicago O'Hare International Airport which provides Auris a captive customer base with all major airlines that fly in and out of Chicago.

This site-selection decision is bolstered by the presence of biofuel subsidies in Illinois, which provide additional support for the development of the biofuel industry. These subsidies incentivize the production of biofuels from dedicated non-edible oil crops that are cultivated and processed across the United States.

Auris BioEnergy possesses a notable competitive edge compared to other biodiesel producers, thanks to its vertical integration approach. By cultivating dedicated energy crops that are fast-growing oil crops, Auris BioEnergy can grow its oil feedstock at a considerably lower cost than traditional options like soybean oil or canola oil, among others, which are commonly used for biodiesel production.

Auris has negotiated access to a significant acreage of arable land in Montana, South Carolina, and Georgia, that will supply the growing biofuel market in the United States through our Illinois biorefinery processing plant.
